Stop Using Ring Lights Incorrectly
When I first starting shooting home auditions, I was using ring lights incorrectly.
I noticed that the ring light created round dots and circles in my eyes. I knew this would not look good for casting directors. And, I heard some casting casting say how distracting it was for them while watching auditions.
The Right Fix
Ring lights can be a great tool when used correctly. I spent a lot of time figuring out how to properly
place the ring light to make my face look clean, clear and not have any background shadows. I also discovered that other lights were needed in addition to a ring light.
