A manager looks at the bigger picture in your career. He or she will help you plan out exactly what types of jobs are right for you, connect you with the right agent, best classes and photographers to shoot with. They are like a great parent who is looking at your career in the long term.
Hi I wanted to ask you we are working hard and want to go to New York do I need sag, bank account, work permit to get started, I need help, Thank you God bless
You do not need to be a member of SAG-AFTRA in order to begin working in NY or any market. At
some point, if you want to work in features and TV shows, then you will want to join.
I would suggest you save enough money to live off of for at least 4-6 months before moving to
any large market. You don’t want to have to spend so much time with job to pay the rent
and food that it takes away from working on getting training, an agent and a head shot.
If you are a minor, then you will need a work permit, but I am not familiar with adults needing them.
