Don’t Eat This on a Film or TV Set

October 4, 2018 0 Comments

You are booked for a job, excited about being on a set,
and have easy access to tons of food.

But, don’t eat this while working on a set.

You could feel like you are going to explode.

Aaron Marcus get's blown up in this commercial modeling job

It Takes Discipline

When you are a principal on a project, you will have access to
tons of food and people offering to bring you whatever you
want to eat.

It is nice to be treated so well, but don’t fall into the trap.

When you are waiting and waiting
in your trailer or around the set for many hours, it is
easy to eat the time away.

I remember one time having a huge Mexican meal during
a shoot. It tasted great, but by the time we started shooting
my stomach started talking. Actually, talking very loudly.

It was so embarrassing for me to have to do another take
because my stomach noise was picked up by the boom mike.

Stay Relaxed  and Avoid the Heavy Meals

I find that when I eat enough so that I am not hungry,
but nothing too heavy, it allows me to think more
clearly and feel sharper in general.

On my most recent shoot, I did not even have lunch. Instead,
I ate health bars, bananas, drank lot’s of water and some nuts
while waiting for my scenes to begin.

Those types of foods filled me up and gave me good energy.

So, when you are working, keep you mind and your body awake
and sharp and don’t be like the kid in the candy store who eats
everything he can get his hands on. It might not have a good ending.

I would love to hear if there are certain things you eat or avoid
while working. Share it with others so we can all learn from each other.
