NICKELODEON PILOT – Epic, Action Video Game Comedy. This is an
exciting live-action pilot for Nickelodeon that centers on a kid who
gets video game powers. Each episode will feature a different power –
which at first seems awesome, but then ends up going horribly,
embarrassingly wrong. As the series develops we learn more about our
hero’s mysterious origins, and the dark forces that surround him. Our
director has just finished a pilot for Warner Bros and SpikeTV and our
VFX team includes members that have worked on the latest Halo game and
Narnia movies.
[ NIKKI ]
Female / Principal / Asian, Caucasian, Hispanic / 18 – 19. Must look
young. Legal 18 to play 13. Nikki is the combination of cool
popularity, beauty, and smarts. She must be likable and good on her
feet. Attractive, but not a girly-girl – she can hang with the guys.
Athletic ability mandatory: there is a scene where she’ll need to trip
and fall on a padded mat. Wardrobe: Casual. Rate: $900+10% (breakdown:
3 days @ $300 + 10%). This rate is all inclusive of usage, shoot days,
and a 1 day fitting / rehearsal.)
[ NANCY ]
(Nikki’s Grandma)- Female / Principal / Asian, Caucasian, Ethnically
Ambiguous, Hispanic / 60 – 70, Sweet, old-lady type. She should have a
light-hearted, good natured spirit, plus the ability to play senile
(comedically.) Wardrobe: Granny Attire. Rate: $300+10% ( This rate is
all inclusive of usage, 1 shoot day, and a half day fitting /
rehearsal.
[ TROY ]
Male / Principal / Caucasian / 18 – 19, Legal 18 to play 14. Troy is
the popular bully; good looking with a dumb, mean streak. Think of a
young Danny McBride or (cocky and mean) Will Ferrell. This is an
awesome, breakout-type role for a comic actor who’s good on his feet,
cocky, and great with insults. Wardrobe: Casual. Rate: $400+10%
(breakdown: 2 days @ $200 + 10%) This rate is all inclusive of usage,
2 shoot days, and a 1 day fitting / rehearsal.
[ MS. IRENE ]
MEAN DETENTION TEACHER – Female / Principal / African American, Asian,
Caucasian, East Indian, Ethnically Ambiguous, Hispanic, Middle
Eastern, Pacific Islander / 50 – 60. Mean as heck – the type of
teacher that terrified you growing up – this is a great character
role. Larger builds encouraged – she needs to feel substantial and
imposing. She has a sharp, old-school disciplinarian vibe. This
character will be transforming into a monster in this episode – so we
need an actor that is physical and comfortable enough to throw her
head back, growl, and shake their body. For the monster scene we’ll
need to attach a boar’s prosthetic snout to their nose – the actor
should be comfortable breathing through their mouth during that time.
Wardrobe: Dress like a mean detention teacher. Rate: $300+10% This
rate is all inclusive of usage, 1 shoot day, and a half day fitting /
rehearsal.
