When I first began to act, I would feel competitive with fellow actors.
At auditions, I would see others and wonder what experiences they had.
Were they friends or worked with the casting director or director before?
So, who was my greatest competitor?
I Learned My Greatest Competitor Was Me
Some actors tried to compete with me as well. They would
distract me by starting a conversation before my audition. Or, they
would give me information about the project that wasn’t true
to prevent me from preparing properly for my read.
When I Stopped Competing My Auditions Got Better
When I stopped competing with others, and just focused on myself,
my auditions were better.
