Alan Rickman – had success on stage, but didn’t get tremendous exposure and work on his first feature film until he was 46.

Samuel L. Jackson – had a number of smaller roles in the 1970’s and 1980’s. He didn’t become well known until age 43. Now he is one of the most successful and recognizable actors in the world

Danny Aiello – was actually a bouncer. When he was in his late 30’s he got cast in the Spike Lee feature – Do the Right Thing and then worked on Moonstruck.

Kathryn Joosten – is a character actor. She began her acting journey when she was in her 40’s. Kathryn won 2 Emmy’s. One was while working on The West Wing and the other was for Desperate Housewives.

Dennis Farina – was in the military and then a police officer in Chicago for 18 years. He didn’t begin acting until age 37. You have seen him in many TV shows and feature films.

John Mahoney – didn’t act professionally until age 37. John had tremendous success in the Chicago theater scene. Prior to being a professional actor, he was an editor for a medical journal. He was most well know as the character Martin Crane, the dad on the TV show Frazier. And, was in many films. I share a personal story I had with John in the video. He was such a nice person.
