1 Trick to Getting More Acting or Modeling Jobs
Here is 1 thing you can do to help get more acting or modeling jobs.
You Have 2 Choices
You could be lazy, sleep all day
and wait for the phone to ring.
Or, be pro-active – and get excited because
you got a job on your own
Here is What You Can Do To Get More Work
I had a few weeks in January when things
were pretty slow. Actually, in the past, after
Thanksgiving work always slowed down until the end of January.
That is not always the case anymore. I can’t predict things like I could before.
Instead of waiting for phone calls, I decided to take control and and market myself.
I reached out to:
- agents whom I hadn’t spoken to for a while
- photographers whom I worked with in the past
- casting directors whom I had read with
- art and creative directors who had cast me for radio/TV spots or commercial modeling ads
- and other industry contacts
It was not a coincidence that 2 days after sending out a few notices,
a photographer called and asked me if I was available for a shoot.
Here is the important take away
Send a short cover letter and include either a head shot
and or some still shots from bookings. (Don’t send attachments)
Let the person know about any recent (or in the past) jobs you had.
Make sure your contact information is shown
Reminding people that you are still around, is a great
way for them to remember that they should keep you in mind
for future projects.
Share with others ways that you have gotten yourself work.
