Yeah I got to work on a feature film in a scene with a veteran Hollywood actor named Matt McCoy, who is now doing the commercials for AARP and I was fine while I was waiting but as soon as they came to get me to take me to set, I all of the sudden started getting nervous. We had not rehearsed our scene so I wasn’t sure if he liked what I was doing and since we hadn’t rehearsed I stumbled over my lines just a little bit the first couple of times and that made it worse, cause then I was thinking he thinks I’m a horrible actor now, cause I’m tripping over my lines. I was so nervous and he wouldn’t say a word or give any expression as to what he was thinking, but of course I was imagining the worst.
I also got to work with Tom Cruise in a scene where we were holding him at gunpoint but I didn’t have any lines. But the guy right in front of me had a lines since he was the one right in his face. Tom was intense in every scene but he didn’t make me nervous. But i’m sure if I had a lengthy scene with him that I would have gotten intimidated. But I like your advice Aaron. Thank you for that valuable piece of advice.

Thanks so much for sharing here Omar. Those are hard situations. It is true that more experiences you
have the easier it becomes. It is great that you at least have gotten to work with some talented folks.

I do think that rehearsing with them helps cause then they could maybe offer you some insight if it’s not working like you thought it would, and that way you feel more confident when you go film.

I have worked with Robert Vaughn, Ed Asner, Martin sheen, and Helen hunt…and I find a respectful posture is the best. They KNOW their business and are a joy to work with. Your task here is to relax and play your best game, as this is the big leagues!
