  1. Hello AAron,

I so much enjoy and get excited when viewing your videos. You are point-on, and have helped me so much in my new endeavor on 800Casting to do voice-overs and commercials.

I have been doing community theatre for 40-some years and more recently shows at Gardner-Webb University here locally. All those years, I was working as a full-time registered nurse, wife and mother of two. I was also active in church and a community volunteer. Sooo when given a part I focused intently on creating and evolving my own character. As a result I did not become a student of theatre.

Now being retired and a grandmother I was asked to teach a class on ‘Theatre’. I have not studied so intensely since I was in nurses’ training. But it has paid off. I have researched 20 some hours and have material for 3 of the 10 classes. My husband sat in on the first class so he could show the videos. He said that I did great and had the students in my hand. It was a wonderful feeling.

I have some monologues and exercises for the kids,(ages 8 to 12 yrs.) I secured them from on the web. Do you have any more specific sources for short skits,or any additional ideas? That is if you have time. There are 10 students, 2 boys, 8 girls.

    Thank you,

    Deany Martin
